Hello and welcome to Pollywog.co.uk

Welcome to the website of Pollywog - Amphibian breeding and research facility located in Malvern, Worcestershire, England.

On this site you will find information and details of our products, services and some of our past, present & future captive breeding projects as well as a selection of Care Guides, Articles & Photo Galleries.

This site is still under re-development following our web-host move last year so please check back regularly as we attempt to update things - although admittedly it is taking longer than expected...

Latest News:

29.07.10 - Mallorcan Midwife Toads (Alytes muletensis).

First identified from fossils some 5.3-1.6million years old and thought to be extinct for over 2000 years until rediscovered in 1977 this is a very rare species found only on the island of Mallorca. We were fortunate enough to acquire a group last year and we are now releasing some large juveniles / sub adults to other breeders. Please contact us for details.

18.07.10 - Care Sheets.

When we moved host and redesigned the website early last year our aim was to rewrite and update all of our caresheets combining them with the relevant gallery pages before re-publishing them to ensure that all relevant information was up to date and correct. With our high work load this is taking much longer than we expected and due to the constant requests from you guys to bring the care sheets back we have decided to upload the old care sheets to the site as they were and then update them as and when time allows us to do so. The species database will be updated with links to the care sheets soon but for now they can be found by using the search feature at the top right of the page.
